WHEN KAYAKS, SURFSKIS AND OUTRIGGER CANOES BECOME ART.
The Faster Farther “Dream Machines” collection was an ongoing, instagram-friendly design exploration that represented a deep personal desire to impart non-artistic objects (in this case high performance racing kayaks, surfskis and outrigger canoes) will original works of art… and then will them into physical existence.
Each creation explored conceptual themes that blended design, art, culture and the personalities of the athletes who race them to become anthropomorphic avatars of speed unto themselves.
Many of the designs depicted below would go on to become actual boats that were beloved and raced by National Teams, World Champions, Olympians and Adventure Athletes alike.
